- The Junior, Intermediate & Senior Spin competitions have been postponed to a future date in the season.

- Congratulations to all Solihull skaters who competed in 'Open' competition events during 2009, with encouraging performances at all levels! (see 'Open Competition Results' page)

- For all those skaters interested to know what it's like in the glamourous world of Ice Shows then check out the 'Winners & Stories' link. One of Solihull Club's former members, Charlotte Kennedy, is currently touring the USA with Disney On Ice and will be writing a short tour diary of life on the road living the dream! The first part of Charli's story is online now!

- Please note that there is a new permanent start time for Club. We now commence from 6:15pm as the rink management has offered an additional 15 minutes ice time.

- As Club recommenced halfway through the school term in October 2009 the Committee is pleased to announce that the opening Term Fee will be reduced accordingly to £15.00. This will cover the period up to Christmas. In the new year fees will return to their full term fee of £30.00 per term. Please note that the above fee unfortunately does not include private or group lessons. These are available by arrangement directly with any of the Club Coaches (see 'Club Coaches' link on the main menu)

- NISA have launched an online membership payment. New and existing members can now pay online for their NISA membership. (Please note this is for membership to the National Ice Skating Association, not Solihull Figure Skating Club.)

Paying online will not incur an additional charge, unlike membership payments via credit/debit card made over the phone or by post. All members are strongly encouraged to pay their membership online.

All members will receive a new membership card within 2-3 weeks of the date of their renewal, once they have made an online payment. Memberships will be active/renewed as soon as the online payment has been confirmed.

New members who wish to receive their membership number sooner can do so via this email testmembership@iceskating.org.uk

- NISA have announced a 'Development & Performance' structure in a bid to ensure that talented skaters are identified and given a proper pathway to success from 'zero to hero'. If you think you've got the potential to be one of Britain's best take a look at the new 'NISA Team' page on the menu for further information or visit www.iceskating.org/squadgb

- As always a big 'thank you' to all the parents and friends that help keep the club running; even those behind the scenes.

REFRESHMENTS

Tea, coffee & cake can be obtained in the Party Room where someone will be happy to help. Children's soft drinks, fruit or biscuit is just outside the small room.
